Skirting replacements at a Government Building
19th September 2024Since the beginning of June 2024, we have been working weekends at the Home Office to replace some of the coved skirtings in their 42 tea points, spread over 3 buildings and 16 floors!
It has been slow going and as you can see from the after pictures looks a lot better.
What has made this project so difficult is the amount of repairs (and the quality) that has been carried out in the past, layers of contact adhesive, contact tape and even screws were put in. This has had to be hand scraped away before new can be installed. Unfortunately due to the shadow gap, we were unable to fix a new ply surface without the skirting standing proud of the walls.
Very proud of the team and extremely grateful for their hard work and approach to the project.
